Important
The LMS will be unavailable Monday 12 December, to accommodate essential upgrades.
A few of the many improvements that will become available after the upgrade are highlighted for you here:
- New options for timed tests including auto submit
- Tests will auto save every 10 seconds, reducing the likelihood of data loss
- Blackboard assignments will have full interaction with rubrics
- Announcements will be emailed with the sender's name, not LMS-noreply, so students can reply directly if needed
Reminders
- Check your summer subjects - Use Student Lists to compare students who will have access to your LMS subject to those ISIS says are in your subject
- Nominations for 2012 subjects can still be made with your LMS Representative
- Subject copy forward reminder - Important information you should read if you have chosen Subject Copy Forward
What's New
- LMS Showcase - Highlighting practical and interesting working cases in the LMS
- College Tutors and access to LMS subjects - The policy for college tutor access to LMS subjects is available
- Essential Elements online - You have the option to Work through LMS Essential Elements online by requesting a training shell
- Online Image Library - A fully searchable image catalogue containing more than 800 images in multiple resolutions is ready for staff to use on University websites, in presentations, and publications

- The Endeavour Awards allow Australians to undertake study, research and professional development abroad. Applications for the 2012 second round Endeavour Executive Awards close 20th December
Tips & Tricks
- Floating images in the LMS - If you want to float images inside the description text of an item, you don't need to create a HTML table to position the image. Just use CSS
