Content management
- Managing files
- Teaching staff can upload files such as lecture notes, tutorials and graphics for students to access within a subject or community (subject to copyright). The LMS has a file storage area known as the Content Collection for use in subjects and communities.
- Adaptive Release
- The Adaptive Release functionality of the LMS allows subject coordinators to control availability of content using criteria to provide/deny access to subject resources such as lecture materials, quizzes and discussion board forums.
- Glossary
- The Glossary allows teaching staff to create a subject-specific list of terms and definitions.
- Podcasts and Lectopia
- Digital media files (podcasts) can be integrated with the LMS via Lectopia (the university's centrally supported audio recording system) and the LMS Podcast tool.
- Reading lists: Readings Online, the Digital Repository and SuperSearch
- Several options exist for reading lists to be made available to students, some of which will give the students access to an electronic version of the full text item.
SuperSearch has a DIY function for saving reading lists and exporting these, including links to online resources, for students.
Readings Online is a service for academic staff that will provide electronic versions of materials that are prescribed on readings lists for students. If a Readings Online collection has been created for a subject, it can then be linked into the LMS site. When a Readings Online collection has been created for a subject it will exist in the Digital Repository. - Review Status
- The Review Status feature allows students to indicate whether they have reviewed a content item.
