Managing files
Teaching staff can upload files such as lecture notes, tutorials and graphics for students to access within a subject or community. All file types can be uploaded to the LMS, though it is advisable that common file types are used, such as Microsoft Office documents, PDFs, GIFs and JPEGs. File size should be kept to a minimum to ensure that documents are accessible by students on slower internet connections.
The Content Collection is the storage space for files for use in subjects and communities. Each subject and community has an allocated storage quota. Each individual LMS user also has a personal storage area in the Content Collection, known as My Content.

Subject lifecycle
Subject and community sites are not automatically saved or 'rolled-over' in the LMS from one semester to subsequent semesters. The LMS has tools available to support the re-use of subject content and design.
