Readings Online, the Digital Repository and SuperSearch

SuperSearch now allows you to mark found items and export these as an HTML reading list that may be shared with others. Live links in the exported reading list provide information about and, in many cases, access to the items without the need to search library systems. This process is best used when all the readings are available online through University systems.

Readings Online is a service for academic staff that will provide electronic versions of materials that are prescribed on readings lists for students (subject to copyright) and may include items not currently available online through university systems. Academics provide a copy of the reading list to Readings Online, these items are processed and students may access these resources. Reading list items that may be requested include: journal articles, book sections, conference papers and images.

When a Readings Online collection has been created for a subject it will exist in the Digital Repository. The University’s Digital Repository provides a wide range of digital resources in addition to electronic readings including: high resolution maps, examination papers, theses, and recordings of radio and television broadcasts.

Links to SuperSearch reading lists and Readings Online collections may be displayed within LMS subjects.
