Learning Environments Learning Management System

Accessibility and the LMS

For students experiencing disability, some aspects of the LMS may present access difficulties. The LMS has core features that cannot be modified, and variable features which can be adapted for the specific accessibility requirements of students. We may be able to improve your access to the LMS if you book a consultation and identify your access requirements, and current and future subject choices. If you need any assistance or advice about using the LMS, or would like to book a consultation about your LMS subject please contact the Disability Liaison Unit at dlu-enquiries@unimelb.edu.au.

The Learning Environments LMS Academic Support team has recently begun a joint project with the Disability Liaison Unit to examine the accessibility of the Learning Management System and develop advice for students and staff. The starting point for the project has been accessibility for students with low vision and students using screen readers.
