Enabling ActiveX

ActiveX is required for the use of the Visual Text Box Editor in the LMS.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 for Windows

  1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
  2. Click the Security tab at the top of the Internet Options window.
  3. Select the Internet zone by clicking the world icon.
  4. Click the Custom Level button.
  5. Scroll down to ActiveX controls and plug-ins section.
  6. Click the Enable radio button for both Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins and Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting.
  7. Click OK to save and close each window.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 for Windows

While you should not need to enable ActiveX if you use Internet Explorer 7.0, you will need to add the LMS to your trusted sites.
