Browser cache

If pages in the LMS are not displaying correctly, this may be due to an issue with your browser cache. In most cases, emptying your cache and quitting/restarting your browser session will fix the problem. Using the recommended settings may avoid further problems.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 and 9.0 for Windows

  1. Click the Tools menu.
    If you don't see the menu, press Alt button on your keyboard to show the menus.
  2. Select Delete Browsing History.
  3. Select the checkbox for Temporary Internet Files.
  4. Click the Delete button.
  5. Once the files have been deleted, click OK.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 for Windows

  1. Click the Tools menu.
    If you don't see the menu, press Alt button on your keyboard to show the menus.
  2. Select Delete Browsing History.
  3. Click the Delete files button.
  4. Click the Yes button in the confirmation window.
  5. Click the Close button.

Mozilla Firefox 6.0 - 11.0 for Windows

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Select the Privacy tab.
  4. Click the clear your recent history link.
  5. Under Time Range to Clear select Everything.
  6. Select the Details arrow.
  7. Select the Cache checkbox.
  8. Click the Clear Now button.

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 - 5.0 for Windows

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Select Clear Your Recent History.
  3. Under Time Range to Clear select Everything.
  4. Select the Details checkbox.
  5. Select the Cache checkbox.
  6. Click the Clear Now button.

Safari 3.x for Windows

  1. Click the Edit menu.
  2. Select Empty Cache.
  3. Click Empty.

Google Chrome for Windows

  1. Click the Tools menu (spanner).
  2. On the Under the Hood tab, click the Clear Browsing data... button.
  3. Select Empty the cache checkbox.
  4. Choose Everything from the Clear data from this period dropdown menu.
  5. Click the Clear Browsing Data button.

Mozilla Firefox 3.5 - 5.0 for Mac OS X

  1. Click the Firefox menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. Click the Network tab.
  5. In the 'Offline Storage' section, click Clear Now.
  6. Click the OK button.

Safari 3.x for Mac OS X

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Empty Cache.
  3. Click Empty.
