Getting started
Accessing the LMS
If you are a student, you will automatically be logged in to the LMS when you log in to the Student Portal. Clicking on the name of each subject will take you directly through to that subject space in the LMS.
All users can access the LMS by logging in to http://www.lms.unimelb.edu.au using the same username and password used for university email.
If you are a new student or staff member you will need to activate your university IT account at http://accounts.unimelb.edu.au before you can use email or the LMS.
Can't log in?
If you can't log in at http://www.lms.unimelb.edu.au, you will need to check that you are using the correct username and password. Your username is not the same as your email alias. An email address may start with j.smith@, but a username does not have dots.
To check your username, view a list of your University accounts, and to set or change your password (remember passwords should only contain 8 characters), you will need to log in to the Accounts Registration System.
If you are an external user that has forgotten your password and can't log in, you may need to reset your password.
